Affiliate Avenue

Come down and check out Affiliate Avenue!
This is a directory of products, services and work from home programs that people can use and participate in.
I've learned the hard way about affiliate programs. They can work for you, but you have to build a system and you have to advertise. The idea that you will be making thousands of dollars in your first month is pure hogwash. I have worked 'round the clock on the various projects I've started with, have busted my budget as well as my ass, and have made about $80.
An honest program will tell you that it will take time and work to be successful.
A bullshit program will tell you that you'll be making hundreds within hours and thousands within a month from "multiple income streams." They will upsell you on a bunch of crap resale "tools" that you can download for an exorbitant price. Two cents would be an exorbitant price for most of this dreck. Yes, you can make thousands from multiple income streams. You have to find those streams, and then you have to find ways to advertise them.
I hope to build Affiliate Avenue into a truly respectable directory of products and services that people can really use, as well as being a tool for webmasters to create their own residual income.
But if you will just send me a hundred bucks now, I've got some great useless information you can have, as well as one of the Idiot of the Century buttons I've pinned on myself for falling for multiple lines of bull.

This post brought to you by my online mall. Dozens of stores, thousands of products, and several good business opporunities--for real, no bull.

I would like to support your businesses, Cie, although right now we are not buying much, having just finished supporting the French economy. Porn is out in our house, and sex toys are illegal in AL (courtesy of Christinanity), so I don't know if I could get in trouble purchasing them. I've looked at your other store, but haven't seen anything I had to have yet. As far as the mall goes, do you really get money no matter what I buy, and are you sure all your businesses there are reliable? You can e-mail me if you want.

Actually the people I would least expect to support my commerce stuff are the people who generally read my blogs because they are either broke or the stuff I'm selling just isn't their bag, Baby. I put these plugs at the bottom of the posts to keep my mindset in the proper place, and the people that I think will be buying from me are the eventual ones that come here through links, with whom I probably won't establish any sort of personal relationship. Funny how things work that way. I'm honestly not trying to shove anything down anyone's throat. It's just a little blurb, mostly to make me feel like I'm doing my job, but who knows, something might appeal to somebody.

I understand, but actually the mall offers such a wide variety of links I'm sure I might find something there sometime, and I'm happy to look, but exactly what is your deal there? Do you get money no matter which link I follow and choose a product from? Do you know all the businesses you're linked to are o. k.?

Well, I'm now totally pissed off! I just went through the effort of explaining it and the fucking thing ate my post!
What happens is that I get a small commission from items sold in the stores. Most of my commissions would come from people buying the internet and advertising services. To the best of my knowledge the stores are legit. Majon, the company who runs the malls, checks the people who want a link in the mall out before allowing them to be part of the mall.
I felt bad because I thought maybe I was making you and others feel guilty with my advertising plugs. I figure that most of the people who have been with me from the beginning visit for Death Cheese, the Flavor of Arsewipe and the fart jokes, not to buy crap from me!

Thanks for the clarification. Mrs. Weirsdo and I will keep it in mind, and we know you are not pressuring us.
